Michael Canfield, President & CEO, has over 40 years of leadership experience in various industries, most recently serving as the CEO of the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and Indian Pueblos Marketing. He started Valliant Consulting Group in 1997 in response to the needs of New Mexico tribal communities but has grown to serve diverse organizations across the 48 contiguous states and Alaska. Michael has been recognized by Albuquerque Business First as a New Mexico Power Broker and was awarded the Top CEO in the tribal business category in 2013. He has been the recipient of the first All Pueblo Council of Governor’s Award (2014), the NM Governor’s Distinguished Public Service Award (2015), and recognized as one of Albuquerque’s top diverse business leaders (2016).
Michael serves on many community-based Boards, including the United Way of Central New Mexico, The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce, Albuquerque Economic Development, Economic Forum, New Mexico Mutual, and the Near North Valley Neighborhood Association. He also serves as a Commissioner for the City of Albuquerque’s Commission on Indian Affairs.
He is a member of the Pueblo of Laguna.
